Here is a list of the ten superfood as stated by the American diabetic association, consumiong at least three of those ten superfood will be benificial
 
 

  1.   Dark green leafy vegetables such as spinach or parsley etc
  2.   Tomato especially cooked tomato
  3.   Sweet potato
  4.   Beans all kind of beans including lentils
  5.   Citrus fruits like oranges,tangerin, lemon, kiwi, grapefruit and pineapple
  6.   Nuts like walnuts, almonds and pistacios
  7.   Whole grains like oats, brown rice and food prepared using those grains such as whole wheat bread.
  8. Fat free milk and fat free yoghurt
  9. Fish high in omega-3 fatty acids such as salmon or tuna
